The 'how much' question
If you've got the powders and a nagging uncertainty about exactly how much to scoop, here's the plain guide. Waffle, a 12-pound Miniature Poodle, and a 60-pound retriever down the street get very different amounts, and the rule that sorts it out is refreshingly simple. No guesswork, no fuss: body weight in, spoonfuls out.
Dosing goes by body weight. For each powder, feed about a teaspoon per 20 pounds of your dog's weight. So a 20-pound dog gets roughly a teaspoon, a 40-pound dog about two, and a 60-pound dog about three, per powder you're feeding, rounding to the nearest sensible spoonful.
The details that matter
Fiber & Fortifier™ has a little more range, because fiber needs vary. You can feed it at the same teaspoon per 20 pounds, and go up to a tablespoon per 20 pounds when your dog needs more bulk, for instance when you're working on soft stool. That extra headroom is there for the dogs who need it and ignored by the ones who don't. The other three powders stay at the teaspoon-per-20-pounds guide. If you're unsure, start at the lower end; you can always build up, and a gentle start is easier on the gut than a big one.
Two rules make it all work. First, always mix the powder into food, or a splash of water, broth, or a bit of liquid, and never feed it dry, so it goes down as part of a meal. Second, start low and go slow: begin with a fraction of the target amount, hold for a few days, and build up over a week or two so the gut adjusts without gas or a looser stool. If you feed more than one powder, each keeps its own teaspoon-per-20-pounds guide, and you can serve them together in the same bowl. Stacking powders doesn't change each one's per-pound guide; it just means a slightly fuller scoop overall.
Putting it together
Picture the gut as a garden and its lining as the soil. Gussy's Gut® uses whole foods run through a proprietary wild fermentation process that creates both probiotics and postbiotics, and the powders also contain prebiotic fiber.
Feed the whole garden. Ground it with Gussy's Gut Boost™, root it with Sustain™, fertilize it with Youthful Grasses & Sprouts™, and work the soil with Fiber & Fortifier™, then rotate across the year. About a teaspoon per 20 pounds of each powder, up to a tablespoon per 20 pounds of Fiber & Fortifier, mixed into food, never dry. Add, stir, and serve.
Give it 90 consecutive days before you judge, because a gut settles slowly. If you're not willing to give it 90 days, this product may not be right for you. Your dog is not what they eat. It's what they can absorb.
These statements haven't been evaluated by the FDA, and Gussy's Gut is a dog food supplement for everyday nutrition. For a diagnosed condition, check with your vet first.
