The gut is like a garden. Fermented foods make it GROW
Your dog's gut is like a garden. For it to thrive, the good microbes living there need a healthy place to put down roots otherwise they just pass through and never do their job. That's the problem with most gut supplements.
Gussy's Gut® is different. Our fermented superfoods are pre-digested, so the nutrients are broken down and ready for your dog to actually absorb. Fed consistently, they help build the kind of healthy garden where good microbes settle in and stay.
Each of our powders does a different job in that garden and you can use one, layer a few, or grow the whole thing over time.

Why 90 Days?
A garden doesn't establish overnight, and neither does the gut. Cell turnover, microbiome rebalancing, and absorption all take time. That's why we ask every dog owner for 90 consecutive days before evaluating results. Many notice changes in the first few weeks, but the full garden takes the full 90.
Days 1–30
Planting
The ground is prepared and the first seeds go in as the gut begins to shift.
Days 30–60
Rooting
The garden takes root. The gut terrain adapts and good microbes settle in.
Days 60–90
Flourishing
The garden fills in, and the benefits of consistent feeding settle in for the long term.
If you're not willing to give it 90 days, this product may not be right for you. We'd rather set honest expectations than overpromise.
Common Questions
Where should I start?
We recommend every customer start with our product Boost and if they want better faster results, they add Youthful Grasses & Sprouts to their first 90 days of Boost.
How can I do the most to see better results?
Short answer: Add two products each day to your dog’s bowl. Why?
The best holistic vets all of the world have looked at our products and go right to the ingredients. They see the spectrum of vitamin and minerals delivered in each ingredient and immediately look at the non vitamins and minerals - the healing compounds in each vegetables, greens, herbs, tubers, grass, fibers, and sprouts. They see each ingredient has its own unique spectrum of nutrients and healing power. Then what they do is think about how all of those work together for their dog or cat clients’ healing. This is exactly how we formulated each of our products for Gussy’s Gut. So you’ll often hear the most genius vets that know the most about the power of nutrients talk about adding a wider spectrum of nutrients to a bigger problem.
Now unfortunately there is no computer program or test that can identify exactly how much of the nutrients inside, let’s say broccoli, your dog can benefit from with a specific condition or wheat grass as another example. What you can do quite easily is widen the spectrum of nutrients for an increased chance of a better faster path to their health.
Simply put...
When you add more ingredients to your dog’s bowl, you have an increased chance of benefiting from the necessary nutrients and amounts of nutrients that your dog may specifically require. Now this can vary from dog to dog and case to case, all depending on what your dog needs for a specific symptom or condition of course. But here’s the simpler way to think about it: the more nutrients, the more quivers you have in your arrow to target the needs of your dog.
How does your non-fermented formula work with the fermented formulas?
Our fermented formula works on the upper GI tract, where your dog’s gut lives. Our non-fermented formula, Fiber & Fortifier, works on the lower GI tract at the colon level. Using these together helps you cover more of the GI tract for a more complete gut support system.
Can your product help my dogs?
Customers often ask us if our products will help their dog’s specific condition. We get this question about anything from pancreatitis, to severe yeast infections, to allergies, to other diseases like Addison’s disease.
Here’s the honest answer. Over thousands of customers we’ve had many customers with any of these conditions or even diseases use our product with great success but we always refer you to your vet. It’s important to remember Gussys Gut works at the gut level only. It does not work directly on disease as a treatment. By way of example Gussy’s Gut is not a yeast infection treatment but to the extent that the gut plays a very significant role in your dog’s reaction to the yeast infection, we can help. Your vet can also advise you on whether it is the right timing in your dog’s treatment to start Gussy’s Gut or if that’s going to be more helpful later down the road.
We never want to over-promise and under-deliver. We always say that it’s better you hold off until you’ve worked with your vet to appropriately diagnose and then start treatment of a condition or disease before adding something new like Gussy’s Gut. If you don’t have a vet or have not worked with a great holistic vet, you can do so via a Zoom consult or telephone consultation. We have a list of some of those vets at www.gussysgut.com/vet or you can look for a local veterinarian by going to www.ahvma.org.
Can I replace the probiotics I’m using?
You absolutely can replace your probiotics unless your vet specifically prescribed them for your dog’s condition. We always recommend you talk to your vet before discontinuing anything that they’ve prescribed. We have many videos on our YouTube channel that talk about the unnecessary overuse of probiotics and specifically sticking with the same strains month after month, year after year.
